How To Make A House A Home
For those of you who are the youngest sibling, you understand the bummer that comes with being the youngest…..getting left out of all the cool things the oldest kid is doing.
Well, that has not been the case for me the last three years. Nikki has mentored me, included me, and taken such good care of me. I am so honored to be apart of The Gang, and definitely feel super included!
I married my boyfriend of seven years this last September, and with that I began to create a home for us. One of my passions has been creating a home that both me and my husband can come back to every day and not dread it. I want it to be a safe place to re-align our hearts, and unwind.
We live in a garage. It’s a great layout, and has a nice open feel to it…. But let me say this: If me and my boo thang hadn’t taken the time to make our home “HOME” it could have been pretty dumpy.
What passion really means to me is this: the unshakeable desire…. An attitude that says: “I will do whatever it takes to get this done.” For us, that meant picking up furniture from garage sales, Goodwill, family and friends. We are newlyweds, so we don’t just have piles of money laying around to buy new furniture… so we had to get creative.
This is my encouragement to you:
1. Let your passion carry you, and you’ll be amazed at what can happen. (Meaning don’t be afraid to follow what your heart is telling you to do.)
2. You can make a home even out of a garage. Be patient, & be creative.
